New Zealand Road Reports & Conditions

Road Clearing
01, June 2009

Winter road conditions in New Zealand are generally very good, due to the fact that the snow level rarely falls to our main highways. However conditions can be frosty or icy in shaded areas, and some passes will required chains, or even be closed, in bad weather. It’s essential that you are well prepared for winter driving, and that you know the road conditions and any weather warnings before leaving home.

We’re pleased to offer road snowfall warnings this season, in association with MetService/NZ Govt as well as road hazards and closures as supplied by Transit NZ. Check them before you go, it might save a lot of hassle later.
